Six Senses Bangkok is planned for Silom Road as part of Hatai, a mixed-use development on the site of the Narai Hotel, which first opened in 1968. IHG's release of 1 July 2025 says the hotel is scheduled to open shortly after the 60th anniversary of the original Narai Hotel in 2028, and that foundation work was already underway.
Designs by Heatherwick studio are inspired by the craftsmanship of traditional lanterns. Around 100 rooms and suites are planned. A 700-square-metre suite and a signature restaurant by Joyce Wang crown the hotel, with interior design by BAR Studio, a sky lobby and sky garden, and a rooftop pool. Six Senses Spa Bangkok will offer the brand's high-tech, high-touch treatments. The project targets LEED Gold and WELL Gold certification, and the Narai Hotel's original wooden foundation has been extracted to be reused in the interiors.
Hatai will have two hotels and almost 6,000 square metres of retail, dining and community space. The BTS and MRT networks are within easy reach.
