The Lake Como EDITION opened in preview in September and October 2025, ahead of a grand opening that EDITION's release of 11 November 2025 set for March 2026. A second release, on 26 November 2025, repeats that the hotel fully launches in March 2026. No later release or hotel page read on 1 November 2026 confirms the grand opening, so the status here stays at soft opening.

The hotel occupies a palazzo first built in 1830 on Via Regina in Cadenabbia, on the western shore of the lake and facing the Bellagio promontory. The building first opened as The London and keeps its cream, butter and clay exterior. The interiors came from a collaboration between EDITION, design firm Neri&Hu and the architects De.Tales.

There are 148 rooms and suites. The hotel page counts 24 suites, two penthouses and one private villa, while the release counts twenty-five suites and two penthouses, with nine guestrooms in the Villa Gina. Chef Mauro Colagreco, of Mirazur in Menton, leads four culinary concepts in his first venture in Italy. They include Cetino, the signature restaurant, and Renzo, the all-day restaurant with a terrace over the lake, and the release also describes a pool-side menu and the Lobby Bar. A floating pool sits on the lake in front of the hotel, with a private dock and the hotel's own boats. The Longevity SPA has seven treatment rooms and an indoor pool facing the lake, and the gym is open 24 hours.

“The Lake Como EDITION opened in preview this September and October, ahead of its highly anticipated grand opening in March 2026.”
