Fairmont announced the debut of Fairmont Golden Prague in a release of 15 April 2025 that gives no opening day. Accor's December 2024 roundup had given early 2025 and described it as the first Fairmont in the Czech Republic. It stands at the gate of Pařížská Boulevard on the banks of the Vltava River, in a building that the architect Karel Filsak designed in the brutalist style in 1974.

A renovation led by chief architect Marek Tichý restored the building's blown glass chandeliers, gilded light fixtures and ash wood posts. The hotel has 320 rooms, suites and serviced residences, and the December 2024 roundup counted 44 Fairmont Gold rooms and suites with a private lounge. The hotel's own page says it holds Two MICHELIN Keys.

Six venues serve Czech, Asian and European food. Zlatá Praha is the rooftop fine dining restaurant, Golden Eye serves modern Asian cuisine, and Greenhouse serves Czech pilsner and dishes from a Josper grill. The 1,400-square-metre spa has five treatment suites, three saunas and a steam bath, and the L-shaped pool runs between indoors and outdoors. The ballroom covers 600 square metres without a column.

“Fairmont Hotels & Resorts, part of the world-leading hospitality group Accor, is pleased to announce the debut of Fairmont Golden Prague, bringing a new chapter to one of the city's most iconic and historic buildings.”
