Fairmont New Orleans is set to open on 2 November 2026, and reservations for stays from that date are live. The date is on the hotel's own page. Accor's roundups gave mid-2025 in December 2024 and June 2026 in December 2025, so the opening has moved twice. The hotel marks the brand's return to the city after two decades and is its 19th property in the USA.
It occupies 17 stories of the former Bank of New Orleans building in the Central Business District, a 31-story tower that Skidmore, Owings & Merrill designed in 1970. Kailas Companies developed it and Rockwell Group designed the interiors. The hotel has 250 guest rooms and suites, with Fairmont Gold on floors 29 and 30. Rooms run from Fairmont King and Deluxe River View to a bi-level Loft One Bedroom Suite and a Presidential 1 BR Suite.
Chef Emeril Lagasse's team runs two restaurants on the lobby level, Delmonico Steakhouse and The Café by Emeril. On the roof are a pool that the release calls the highest in the city, the bar Third Measure and the poolside lounge Bleu Perdu. The spa covers 10,000 square feet, and 19,600 square feet of meeting space is spread over two private floors, with room for 500 guests at a reception.
Check-in is at 4:00 PM and check-out at 11:00 AM.
“The hotel is set to open on November 2, 2026, introducing a vibrant new chapter of luxury in the heart of the city with elevated accommodations, celebrated dining, and unique experiences inspired by the spirit of New Orleans.”
The operator’s wording, read on its own page and last checked 1 November 2026.
