Raffles Lake Como is slated to debut in 2027, a date Raffles gave in March 2025 and repeated in a May 2026 release about Raffles Courchevel. It will be the brand's first hotel in Italy. CL Hotel SPA is the partner and UniCredit the financial partner.
The hotel will be a full-scale renovation and conversion of the former Grand Hotel Imperiale, an art nouveau villa from the 1920s with one of the largest hotel shorelines in the region. It stands on the western bank of Lake Como in Moltrasio, a short drive from the town of Como, and will have a private dock.
Raffles expects 84 rooms, including 18 suites and 2 villas, many with views of the lake, along with its butler service. The plans list lakeside dining, a Raffles Long Bar and Writers Bar, indoor and outdoor swimming pools, a spa and fitness centre and a beach club. Guests will be able to arrive and check in from the water. Meeting space, gardens and a lawn overlooking the lake are planned for weddings and private or corporate events.
