Relais San Clemente will open in March 2027, according to the hotel's own page. Accor's releases gave mid-2026 in July 2025 and 2026 in November 2025, and a line in the hotel's history text still says the property reopened in 2026. It will be an Emblems Collection hotel near Perugia, in Umbria, on an estate along the Tiber that first took hotel guests in 1990.

A Benedictine convent annexed in the 14th century houses the signature restaurant, and the Simonetti family bought the estate in 1875. The hotel will have 51 rooms and suites in old and new buildings, from the 24-square-metre Classic Room to an Emblematic Suite in the heritage wing added in the 1700s. Private villas with their own pools stand in the woodland. The text says nine, while the villa page lists two-, three- and four-bedroom types of 130, 160 and 215 square metres.

Setha is the all-day restaurant, and the wine cellar holds around 500 labels. The Purist Retreat & Spa is newly built, with a vitality pool, sauna, steam room and fitness centre. The estate is less than 20 minutes by car from Perugia, and a train station on the estate is under construction.

“A new chapter of soulful retreat begins in Umbria. Relais San Clemente will open in March 2027.”

The operator’s wording, read on its own page and last checked 1 November 2026.
